- じみょういん【持明院】(1)京都市上京区上立売あたりにあった寺。 藤原道長の曾孫基頼が邸内に持仏堂として建立。(2)藤原氏北家から分かれた家名。 基頼の子通基が邸内の持仏堂にちなんで名づけたもの。 後高倉院妃が住み， 後高倉院がここで院政を執ってのち， しばしば歴代の仙洞となる。
